About Google Drive Direct Download Link Generator
This tool helps you instantly generate a Google Drive direct download link for files stored in your Google Drive. Instead of opening the Google Drive preview page, a direct link will trigger the download right away.
Important Notes
- Make sure your file’s sharing setting in Google Drive is set to “Anyone with the link”. If it’s left on “Restricted,” then only specific people you’ve invited will be able to access it.
- This tool works best for files you’ve uploaded to Google Drive (like PDFs, ZIPs, images, videos). For Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides created directly in Drive, the link usually points to the editable/preview version instead of downloading as a file.
- For very large files, Google may first show a warning that the file is too big to scan for viruses. You’ll still see a button to continue downloading.
Quick Steps
Step 1: In Google Drive, right-click the file you want to share and choose Share.
Step 2: Under “General access,” change it to Anyone with the link.
Step 3: Click Copy link.
Step 4: Paste the link into the box above and click Create Direct Link. Done!

How It Works
Every Google Drive sharing link includes a File ID. For example, in this link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ABCDEF1234567890/view?usp=sharing
The part between /d/ and /view is the file ID:
1ABCDEF1234567890
Our tool takes that ID and builds a new link like this:
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=1ABCDEF1234567890
That’s the direct download link. Everything runs in your browser, your original link never leaves your device.
